how and where can I apply for a small business grant?

I am looking to start a small home based business. are there grants available to help me get started, and where do I get one

2. Go to grants.gov/ and follow the instructions. You will find that unless you are a nonprofit, in basic research or daycare, there are no grants for a small business.
3. paco, your taxes are not being spent setting up other peoples businesses. There aren't any commercial grants. You can get some government help though, they do offer small business loans. http://www.sba.gov
