Business Starting Grants

I want to start up my own blog site or what not, but i was wondering if i could get a small business grant?

Can i get a small business grant for startup of this blog site i want?

1. Loan, Yes. Grant, No. Not unless your site benefits whomever is paying for that grant.
2. The official government grant web site is http://www.grants.gov go there and look at the available grants. You'll find there are none to start a business, finance your home, pay down your debt, or assist your personal finances. Anything you may have heard along those lines is just hype. If you want to find out about how to start and finance a new enterprise, go to the Small Business Administration at http://www.sba.gov - they have information you need to know.
3. Why do you need a loan? There are tons of free sites out there where you can start a blog. If you are good enough doing it, it is possible to be "picked up" by an interested 3rd party. They, in turn, will "buy you" and get you set up for the real thing. I am a business owner and I can tell you that a business loan (especially these days) is almost impossible to get. I have been in business for almost 2 years and the bank won't even consider a loan until it has been a full 2 years. Do your homework because depending on how good you are, doors should open for you if you indeed have a talent. Good Luck!
4. The tax payers do not give grant money to companies. I am sorry if you thought your tax money was being distributed in that way. You need a business loan, not a grant.
