How can I drum up some business for Mobile mechanic/service technician new business?

My husband has recently started a new business as the above. He already has a decent customer base just through word of mouth although a bit more business would be great. How can we get more customers/business without spending a fortune? He has his van Sign written, we have business cards and have pushed advertising leaflets through doors so far. Would a discount voucher of 10% off for customers who already use us be a good Idea? (Return custom) Looking for inspiration please. Thanks for any input in advance!

1. I get the majority of my new clients through direct mailings. I go for people with incomes over about $100 K and hand address the envelopes so they don't look like junk mail. Normally I send out a couple hundred a week.
