How do I do financial analysis for a new business I am starting up?

I am working on making a business plan for my new business. How do I go about doing the financial analysis? what should be my approach. How do I start? any tips?

1. Prepare a 3-year proforma for the income statement and balance sheet. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you really should hire an accountant to do it for you.
