What is something new in the automotive business that I could do a report on?

I need something new thats going on in the auto business that I could write a report on. For example they are going to switch over from 12 volt system to 46 volt system because of all the electronics in cars. Although I can't write about that because somebody already did. So give me some ideas. Something besides biofuels or hybrids, thats like stating the obvious

1. Low sulfer diesel would be a good one. Or the possibility of supercapacitor based electric cars or the recent HP races or turbodiesel technology in the last few years (including the Audi R10 racecar) tons of topics available.

3. What about looking into when the New car dealer as we know it will be no more/ You will order a new car over the net or my catalog and have it delivered by fed ex in 4 weeks.
4. How about why do car manufacturers have next years cars on the dealers lots almost 6 month before the previous year ends. 2008's are on the lot for the past 2-3 months. This always puzzled me, the funny thing they come out earlier and earlier as time goes by Good luck with your report
