Business Starting Grants

Who does one go about applying for a small business grant to start a small business?

I live in Alaska and want to start a dog-daycare and dogwash. I found the states website on grants/loans, but I dont know which ones apply to what types of businesses and I dont know how to write a grant request letter.

1. Small Business Administration ... Contact your local Chamber of Commerce and they can direct you ... Good Luck ... We Love Dogs!!!
2. You can try a small business investment company. These are privately owned financial institutions that are licensed and regulated by the SBA. They use a cobo of private and public funds to provide long-term capital to small business. Good Luck!
