How do I start my own business, selling used clothes?

I am looking to start my own business selling used clothing. Not on e-bay. How do I go about it? Who do I need to talk to? I would like to open a small store for it, any ideas on how to do that would also help. Thank you, R.H.

1. Flea market is a great place to start. Make sure they are clean. Nothing with holes in them. Separate childrens from mens and ladies. When I did it, I started with army uniforms, blue jeans and tee shirts. I sold like crazy. I added something else each week. Within six months, I would have people come to me who had clothes that they did not want to keep but they did not want to have a yard sale or flea market. I give them a percentage of value and take it off their hands. It was just a small amount as far as that goes but it all added to my inventory. I also went around to yard sales and left my business card with the yard sale people. Giving them an opportunity to make as much on their own sale and taking the leftovers off their hands for a small price. I had alot of response from that. No one wants to take it back into the house at the end of the weekend most want to move to the garbage this gave them one more chance to make money. Good luck.
