Business Starting Grants

Possible grants for starting up a new business?

I am thinking of starting up a new business and becoming self employed. I want to pay to get qualified to become a dog groomer then convert my garage into a parlour, i have heard that sometimes it is possible to get grants from the government/council to help with the costs does any one know any more about this? Thanks I am 24 and live in Lincolnshire, England

2. Eligibility of grants depends on your age, location and business type. If you're under 25, you may be eligible for a Princes Trust new business award. You may also have a local government enterprise award. The local chamber of commerce will be able to tell you if a local enterprise grant scheme exists.
