Business Starting Grants

Can you ask a company that doesnt offer grants for a grant to start a small business?

I am trying to start a pole dancing studio but I need more money to fund the start up... can I send a proposal to a company that makes poles and ask them to donate poles and/or money?

  1. You can ask, but you probably will not receive anything unless there is a future benefit to the company who is financing you.
  2. www.SBA.gov & SCORE.gov, check these sites out. SBA: its from the gourvenment, They actually care about you & want to help you w/your business. Unlike companies that are just in it for the money. The gouvernment would like to see more people like you, tring to create their own business, cause that means you will generate more money, than the average Joe, and Pay more taxes than the average Joe. So in the end it'll benefit them, so they don't see any problem helping you out. Also SCORE is a whole bunch of retired Entrereneurs, & active Entreprenurs That donate their time to give advice to people like us. You can choose an entrepreneur (they show u profiles of each w/ their backround & history, experience etc..) And ask them a question, they will get back to you in like 12 hours. They are really really good! they have talked me out of almost making these really big mistakes. And guided me to making these great lucrative decisions. Anyway, these are pro's at score, ask them. Instead of asking yahoo answers. Ask score, the only people answering your question at SCORE are multi millionare entrepreneurs that have been in your shoes. Also the site its self is super amazing, both sites, mainly score. They will both give you tons of useful information you have never ever considered seeking. Good luck!
